We are proud to be based here in Aotearoa New Zealand serving the library and school communities in our beautiful country and take great joy in providing books that enhance the lives of your borrowers and students.

We supply books from publishers worldwide and also have strong connections with publishers both large and small here in Aotearoa.

As a New Zealand owned company with many years experience we understand New Zealand public libraries and schools, the uniqueness of our culture and the constantly evolving communities we live in.

A brief History of our company

Beginnings

Established in 1990, The Library Supply Company has been leading the way in supplying Large Print and Audiobooks to New Zealand libraries.
Under the direction of Tom Dignan the company has grown over the years with its core values of service and quality remaining at its heart.

New Ownership

When Tom retired in 2019, Tony and Bronwyn purchased the company.

It was the perfect fit with our previous library supply company, Southern Sky Books. Merging both companies under the banner of The Library Supply Company enabled us to provided more options for our Public Library customers. In addition to our continued focus on Large Print and Audiobook editions, you can now also purchase standard print titles for all your collections from our expanded and comprehensive new website.

We are also proud to continue our work as a leading supplier of books to school libraries – a service we have provided for the past 25 years.
