Alexander Voitsekhovsky was originally a doctor who drew in his spare time. In 1994 his friends, without his knowledge, assembled the pictures he'd given them, put them in frames, transferred the commentaries he'd written on the back to labels, and hung them in a gallery on the Moika river in St Petersburg. This book showcases these paintings.
