The Twice Changd Friar is a manuscript comedy based on a tale from Boccaccios Decameron. Thought to be written by amateur playwright John Newdigate III, the play tells the story of friar Albert and his seduction of a Venetian merchants wife by posing as the God Cupid. When discovered, Albert seeks to escape disguised under a bears skin.
