Born in Tikrit, Iraq, Rafa Nasiri (1940-2013) studied painting at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad. In 1959, he went to study printmaking at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, where he was introduced to Chinese woodcut and watercolor techniques. This book deals with his work.
