In 1999 Jeanne moved with her then boyfriend from Newport, RI to Eagle River, Alaska. Jeanne recounts the difficult beginnings of life in Alaska having moved into an uninsulated shack outside of town and how from this beginning she found dogs, love, and created a new life for herself in the outdoors of Alaska. Author Bio
Jeane Carlson grew up in Skaneateles, New York and lived, among other places, in Chugiak, Alaska and Lovettsville, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her Master's Degree from University of Michigan.
