Description

An eye-opening memoir of family drama, stardom, despair, and resilience from the wildly popular wrestling superstar.

Saraya-Jade Bevis, formerly WWEs Paige, is one of the biggest names in the wrestling world. She is the youngest two-time WWE Divas Champion and was inaugural NXTs Women Champion. She ranked first in Pro Wrestling Illustrateds Female 50 and was named Diva of the Year by Rolling Stone in 2014. She was also the subject of the critically and commercially successful 2019 film Fighting with My Family, produced by Dwayne The Rock Johnson and starring Florence Pugh. But before ascending to wrestling superstardom, she was just Saraya.

Hell in Boots is Sarayas real, uncensored, story. From her early days in her famous (and chaotic) wrestling family, to leaving home at fifteen, to forging her own path in professional wrestling, Saraya has been through hell and back. As she fought to make it in the incredibly competitiveand at times sexistwrestling world, she faced incredible highs and devastating lows. Saraya recounts years of struggling with substance abuse, clawing back her pride after an exs sex tape leaked, adjusting to stardom in the WWE, healing from a nearly career-ending injury, a making triumphant return to wrestling as AEW Womens World Champion. Through it all, Saraya tells her whole truth in a way she never has before.

Reviews

"Saraya's journey is so inspiring, both inside and outside of the ring. Her strength of will, determination, and desire to beat the odds on her own terms will ignite a fire inside you. I feel blessed to witness her become a huge wrestling star firsthand and I know her story will bring a tear to you eye and a smile to your face."
--Brie (Bella) Danielson
"Among the Gypsies, Carnies, crazies and characters that bespangle the land of Pro Wrestling, I have seen few lights shine as bright as Saraya's. Hers is the light of a genuine and beautiful soul, the kind that will burn bright and warm through any rainstorm and cannot be extinguished by any of life's hardships. It is a rare woman with whom you can shoot whiskey, trust to back you up in a knife fight, and expect to give you thoughtful birthday gift ideas for your wife months ahead of time. With this book Saraya invites you, with a smile and a warm embrace, to sit down with a piping cup of Earl Grey and enjoy her company... just try not to catch a Doc Marten in the teeth if things go sideways. Such is the juxtaposition of our wonderful gypsy princess. A porcelain doll tougher than truck stop beef jerky. If you've ever wondered what it would be like if Emma Thompson starred in Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome then this book is for you."
--Jon Moxley
"From seeing her begin this journey as a teenager in the British wrestling scene to where she is today, I'm so proud to see not just the wrestler, but the woman Raya has become. I know how hard it is to leave your family and country to chase this impossible dream in big, bad America at such a young age. Truth is the wrestling is the easy part. It's homesickness, trying to learn how to be an adult and the setbacks that life throws at you that is the real challenge. Raya has faced moments that almost broke her and would break any normal person, thankfully she is no normal person. In her own unfiltered words learn about her path, her struggles and how people from our side of the world make swearing a f***ing art. Learn how that little nervous girl I first met backstage in Scotland became the women who is now a household name."
--Drew Galloway, A.K.A. WWE's Drew McIntyre
"This book is the whole package wrapped up in the prettiest of leather spiked bows. Saraya is raw, honest & dare I say, vulnerable Bleeding her heart onto these pages & not sparing one intimate detail. To have walked through the hell she has she certainly earned her wings on the angelic soul she has. She's a true warrior but knows how to lay her armor down when it comes to painting a beautiful picture of the life she's lived in this book."
