Barbara Childs shares her perspectives and invites readers to see life through her eyes as an eleven-year-old United States Embassy Diplobrat. Everything that she experienced prepared her for the unexpected circumstances she would encounter later in life as an adult.

This book shares details about the author's father who was in the Navy and worked his way up through the government working as a civilian at various Air Force bases in the United States. He was called by the U.S. government to take a job at the American Embassy in Beirut and have his family accompany him. This book shares the grippingly complex details about how the author felt about life in the Middle East as a diplomat's daughter. She shares her thoughts, emotions, and perspectives after mingling with the locals in Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Yugoslavia, Greece, and Italy. Over the years, the author learned so much about herself and those around her. Although it wasn't always easy, her past taught her how to be strong. She now is a Certified Life Coach helping women become brave and unstoppable.

Author Bio

Barbara Childs is an author, a Certified Life Coach, and a retired RN, MSN, MBA, MHA healthcare professional. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Childs also is a mother of four and with two step-sons, and 14 grandchildren. She is the daughter of a State Department Diplomat who also worked at Area 51 in Special Projects and a proud wife of a 26-year Air Force veteran.
