This book is about the exploits of the third platoon leader and the members of his platoon during the Vietnam war years of 1966-1967. There is combat, humor, romance and heroism. It begins in the teenage years of the platoon leader and proceeds to his military service.
Fred Roark is a graduate of The Citadel in Charleston South Carolina, Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and Newburgh Theological Seminary in Newburgh Indiana. He holds degrees in Industrial Engineering, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Divinity. He has served his country as an officer of an infantry platoon in Vietnam and awarded two purple hearts and a bronze star for valour. He rose to become Vice President of Quality Assurance and Customer Service with NorthAmerican Van Lines. He has served for several decades as an Expositor in South Carolina Churches. He now writes fictional nonfictional and spiritual books. Fred Roark is the author of America's Lost Nuke that appeared on bookshelves and eBook form in 2019. He has written Memoirs of the 1st Wolfhound Bravo Third Platoon 66-67, an autobiography expected to be on the bookshelves and eBook form in 2020. He has also written A Study Guide for Revelation expected to be on bookshelves and eBook form in 2021. He is currently writing A Study Guide for the Gospel of John scheduled for release in 2022.
