Author Bio

John Tanner was born on the Kentucky River around 1780. He spent most of his life with the Ojibwa tribe, and disappeared in 1846. Bestselling author Louise Erdrich grew up in North Dakota and is of German and Turtle Mountain Chippewa descent. Her novels include Love Medicine and The Beet Queen.
