Author Bio

Shanequa Ely was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. Her love for writing started at the age of seven. It was always her dream to one day become an author. Shanequa has written over 150 poems and also a play which one day she plans to release .One of Shanequa's greatest accomplishments as a teenager was being with a company called Teen to teen, a company that went to different schools to perform plays,
which gave self awareness about teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
With this company she appeared on the Peter Jennings show and performed for different programs all over New Jersey. Shanequa has a degree is Education and Psychology, she is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Social work .Helping others has always been a great passion of hers. She has three beautiful children and a grandson, whom she calls her motivations. Shanequa is a kindergarten teacher as well as a motivational speaker, she feels that helping others can one day make the world impact on paying it forward. Her favorite movie is The notebook, she loves the story line so much because how the person used writing for expressing love during her time of losing her memory. Shanequa is the first author in her family and plans on writing more books in the future.
