"Mirror, Mirror on the wall, what the hell happened"
What three words describe you best In the summer of 2019, Rosie Smith would have replied, "Genuine, Kind, and Funny." The moment she was diagnosed with glioblastoma, her life changed in an instant. Her words became "Scared, Worried, and Strong." Over the past few years, the words to describe her have included "Over-Thinker, Brave, Stubborn, Lucky, Grateful, Beautiful, Crazy, Fierce, Heartbroken, Anxious, Emotional, and Humorous." With cancer, there is no easy way out. She hopes you read her story with an open heart and mind. She hopes her journey changes the way you treat people with cancer, and that this book changes those three words you use to describe yourself. May this story bring you understanding, hope and the will to survive.
Rosie Smith is a brain cancer survivor, tattoo enthusiast, and avid traveler. She's passionate about movies, Minnesota Vikings football, bowling, and her friends. Rosie was born in Britton, South Dakota and grew up on a farm near Havana, North Dakota. In the summertime, she loves spending time at her family's lake cabin on Clear Lake, which she's been visiting since childhood. After graduating from North Dakota State University with an emphasis in Hotel/Motel/Restaurant Management and a minor in Business, Rosie worked as a Residence Hall Complex Director for ten years. She spent most of her career promoting tourism in the Glacial Lakes and Prairies Region of Northeast South Dakota, helping people create their own kismet moments.
