Experience every moment of the 2025 Lions tour, as rugby sensation and youngest Lion, Henry Pollock, takes you along for the ride. 'RUGBY'S MAN OF THE MOMENT.' SKY SPORTS Experience every moment of the 2025 Lions tour, as rugby sensation Henry Pollock takes you along for the ride. Henry Pollock has had an extraordinary year. Voted Premiership Breakthrough Player of the Season and scoring twice on his debut for England, after just 32 minutes of international rugby his selection for the British and Irish Lions was the culmination of a sporting fairytale. In this compelling and candid book, Henry shares every moment of that experience. Written in real time from the first training session to the days following the final test, Young Lion is the closest to being on tour with the Lions many of us will ever get. Packed with personal reflections and insights from on and off the field, Henry takes us into the heart of the team and provides an access-all-areas account of life in camp, from team hijinks and punishing training sessions to post-match reflections and the adventures of Bill the Lion.
Henry Pollock was born in Banbury, Oxfordshire, in 2005. Hailing from a sporting family, from an early age Henry threw himself into sport, including triathlon and running. Rugby was always a firm favourite, and he has been involved with Northampton Saints' academy setup since U13 level. He captained the Saints U18 side to the 2023 Academy League Final before going on to earn the captaincy for England U18s. Pollock made his Gallagher Premiership debut for Northampton in November 2023, and was crowned the Premiership's Breakthrough Player of the Season in 2024/25. A pivotal figure in the U20 2024 Six Nations title-winning squad, Henry earned Player of the Match awards for three of England's five games and was subsequently crowned Player of the Tournament. He then went on to win the 2024 World Rugby U20 Championship before his call up to England's Senior Men's squad, scoring twice on his debut against Wales in March 2025. After just 32 minutes of international rugby, he was named in the 2025 British and Irish Lions squad, becoming the youngest forward to play for the side since 1968.
