In her first book, author Elysia Fitzpatrick provides a rare glimpse into the lives of Georgia field workers in the 1940s and 1950s. Kissing the Wasp reveals a life that was taxing yet joyful, just the way it was in Mack Bostic's memory.
Elysia Fitzpatrick is a graduate of the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey. She published several short stories while raising her six children in Haverford, Pennsylvania. Now a grandmother to eighteen grandchildren, Fitzpatrick is thrilled to release her first book. Kissing the Wasp has been a labor of love written over many years and after many conversations with Mack Bostic at the kitchen table. Fitzpatrick tells Bostic's story just as it was.
