Greg Jannetta grew up in Southern California. His high school years were full of beach bonfire campouts, mind-expanding drugs, drunken desert outings, and a multitude of poor decisions. Between the ages of 18 and 22, he bounced around from job to job. Then, one evening, he heard a commercial for a local broadcasting academy that wound up changing the course of his life. Between 1996 and 2022, Greg worked for five different radio stations in California and Idaho. His decision to abandon a life of partying and drug use resulted in his first radio management job in 2017.

Addiction, death, marriage, parenting, taking professional risks, failure, success, perseverance, psychosis, and family are all components in this work of autobiographical / nonfiction. Experiencing that singular moment when a person decides to better their life and test their worth is perhaps the most profound theme a reader should take away from this book.

Greg is happily married with two kids and relocated from Idaho back to California in 2021, where he plans on living out the rest of his days doing a great deal of writing. He hopes his experiences both personally, and professionally, may help someone improve upon their own life.

Author Bio

Greg Jannetta is a Southern California native who graduated with a Journalism degree from California State University, Chico. He has spent more than 20 years as a newspaper writer, broadcasting professional, remote content contributor, and brand manager for a classic rock station in Idaho. Of his more than 20 years working in the radio and newspaper business, 17 of those were in California working for stations in Oakhurst, Monterey, Huntington Beach and Grass Valley.
