Struggling maybe, but waving not drowning. This issue of Granta contains writing from people whose experience of life, sometimes in departed worlds, suggests they have something to tell us about survival. With Diana Athill, Javier Cercas, Gerard Donovan, Richard Ford, Jackie Kay, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Helen Simpson, Paul Theroux and a picture essay by Martin Parr.
*Rave reviews for Granta *'A cover-to-cover bargain' Time Out *'Quite simply, the most impressive literary magazine of its time' Daily Telegraph *'Every issue of Granta is met with pleasurable anticipation' TLS *'Prestigious... the oldest and most successful literary magazine in this country... Granta is committed to bringing together voices that cross boundaries... demonstrating the importance of a forum for new and experimental writing of all genres' Observer
