Mr. Percy Brown is the author of MILLION MAN MARCH - Book of the American Dead and GANG MEMBER = Another Side of Democracy. He was born in Alabama during segregation, experienced the civil rights movement and marched with Dr. Martin Luther King before joining the U.S. Marines. raised by a single mother in the poorest parts of Montgomery, he learned to fight in order to protect himself and his mother form racial and gang violence. He studied under some of Korea's greatest Grand Masters, became a certified instructor for the Action International Martial Arts Association and was inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame/Hall of Heroes in 2013. Mr. Brown is still a Martial Arts student and Head Instructor for PERCY BROWN'S INSTITUTE of CHO'S TAE KWON DO in Montgomery, Alabama.
