Pre.Kaya' Gilkey was born and raised in Denver, Colorado.
She's always been intrigued by words, of how they can either make or break you.
Her passion to become a writer began in grade school. Where her teachers would encourage her to write and direct her own plays.
Somewhere along the line of battle her voice was silenced.
She became shy and fearful of sharing her work with the world.
But she can be silenced no more neither in life nor in writing.
This is her first book, her voice has returned and she's shouting louder than ever before.
