The author was born in 1945 in Germany/Bavaria and immigrated to the USA at age 17. She frequently gets asked what it was like growing up in a small village in the Bavarian Alps. She describes some of the traditions and customs she treasured growing up. She also provides a glimpse of the beauty and history of Bavaria. The author grew up in a small village of about 300 people in the Bavarian Alps and immigrated to the United States in 1963 at the age of 17.
