Earl Wickman was born and raised in Alma, Michigan. He met and served in the Army with a variety of characters and heroes from Alma. This is a compilation of many of these people. This book features interesting people and men who served in WWII that were from Alma. The stories are raw and true to life told by Earl himself. Earl wanted to share these stories so everyone could learn about the people from the small town of Alma and the amazing things they accomplished. This book is a great read for those who enjoy small town stories, funny characters and stories from World War II.
Earl Wickman was born March 19, 1923 in Alma, Michigan. He has lived in Alma his entire life, other than the 3 years in the service. He has 5 children, 5 grand children and 5 great grand children. At 95 he continues to live an active life, which he attributes to a healthy lifestyle of regular exercise and a nutritious diet. He is an avid reader and remains curious and a life-long learner. He can still be seen out and about visiting friends, frequenting the library, the college rec center for work outs, or local sporting events - enjoying the town he loves so much.
