A powerful and inspiring life story of survival and endurance from hugely popular star of TV and Instagram How do you learn to live again when you've danced with death Louise was like any other excited mother-to-be in the build-up to the birth of her first child, but no one could have predicted what happened when Louise gave birth. During an emergency c-section, she had severe complications and fought for her life, dancing with death over a number of days, as her son was taken into NICU. This terrifying experience of birth trauma impacted on Louise's mental health in a way that completely changed her life. PTSD and generalised anxiety has affected her on a daily basis, as she has come to terms with what happened to her, whilst also becoming a mother for the first time. As Louise has rebuilt her life step by step, she has reflected on how her experience has changed the way she sees the world and redefined what's important to her. It has allowed her to slow down and strip back to what really matters- love, family and human connection. Although it has not been an easy road, Louise is able to see it as a gift and is determined to come out more alive than ever before with a more fulfilled future. Louise tells her inspirational story with raw honesty and hope on her journey back to happiness, where nothing is taken for granted and the most is made of every day.

She worked through a series of life-coaching techniques to heal her body and mind, and now has a happier, more balanced, more energetic life than ever. Louise lives in Auckland with her husband Forsyth and three cats. Her mission in life is to show others the secrets to living their best life.
