Kassaundra Hester is a first-time author living in North Carolina. Born in Iowa to a mother who dedicated her life to serving the Lord, she grew up under strict religious teachings. Most of her younger years was spent attending church, school, and running track in a skirt. She obtained a full-ride athletic scholarship to attend Truman State University (formerly Northeast Missouri State University) where she became the Division II National Champion in the 400-meter hurdles. Graduating with a degree in business, her success on the track continued throughout her career where she now works for Duke University as a Sr Director in Finance.
