After surviving a series of personal tragedies, Alison Marsh made a life-altering decision; building on her strong sense of justice and desire to help people, she thrust herself into the thrilling and often-strange world of private investigations - setting up her own company, Miss A.M. Investigates. From catching love-cheats red-handed to stopping scammers, no two days are the same for the professional truth-seeker. Armed with intuition and an unlikely toolkit, Alison navigates complex cases of adultery, fraud, theft, missing persons, and even attempted murder.
In Private Lies, Alison takes the reader behind the scenes of these real cases and shows how she uses her skills and experience to follow the clues, solve the mysteries, and get the answers no one else can - no matter how unpalatable some of those answers might be.
Alison Marsh is a private investigator at Miss A. M. Investigations, registered with the UK Private Investigators Network, with qualifications in forensics, criminology, profiling, criminal psychology and private investigation. She has been profiled (sometimes under the name Alison Harris) by The Daily Mail, the Independent, The Lady, The Metro, The Sun, Woman Magazine, The Mirror and OK! Magazine, among others, and has appeared on BBC Woman's Hour (26th Dec 2023). She lives in Oxfordshire with her family and two dogs. Private Lies will be her first book for the trade.
