Joseph Farrell is the M. Mark and Esther K. Watkins Professor in the Humanities and professor of classical studies at the University of Pennsylvania. His many books include Ennius' "Annals": Poetry and History and A Companion to Vergils "Aeneid" and Its Tradition.
