Description

John Updike is one of the most seminal American writers of the 20th century and one of the most prolific as well. In addition to his best-selling novels, he has written numerous poems, short stories, reviews, and essays. JACK DE BELLIS is Professor of English at Lehigh University. His articles have appeared in such journals as Literature/Film Quarterly, Modern Fiction Studies, Shakespeare Bulletin, and Comparative Literature Studies. His previous books include John Updike, 1967-1993: A Bibliography of Primary and Secondary Sources (Greenwood, 1994).
