Description

Innocence Lost.

Turmoilagainst the trials of good and evil, ingrained beliefs verses realty. Emily has lived under the church umbrella. She lives the intoxicating life of the pure innocence of the preacher's daughter. She lives each day in the new green of Spring, in the vibrant colors of the trees in the fall and in the Sun coming through the window in the midst of the rain. The newness that a child can be blessed with, fades as the reality of puberty comes upon them and they are forced to find they're different. The beauty that is seen in everyone is no longer the case. The days that have been golden are fast tarnishing with the daily turbulence at the school. Treadwell, a small town school suffers the consequences of development. Obscure from the media, this middle school is soon plagued with national coverage due to it's questionable accidents resulting in one student's coma and an apparent suicide. Is it bullying or a unfortunate set of circumstances

The town people wonder how this could happen in a small town. Parents find that no one is really safe, everyone has an agenda and all wonder "what if" as the town falls apart brick by brick.

When loneliness and doubt stifles Emily, the heavens send a messenger to watch over her and deliver the answers that she cries for.

This novel brings out the best, the questionable, and the very worst in humanity.

What do you do when your foundation crumbles and you wonder what is real

Author Bio

Samantha Madison Langley began writing in high school and through college. Writing became her respite, where she could go anywhere or be anyone that she chose as she created her story. Never desiring to be in the public arena nor becoming a tremendous orator, the pen and paper is the medium for her connection to the masses.

Through years of a stressful career she found little time to write. Her education took her through New York, Atlanta, Charlotte and Dallas, she was influenced by the inherent differences in beliefs and lifestyles throughout the country. One of her greatest clients and mentors was Morris Levy. His belief was that music could transform moods, instill ideas and educate anyone. Samantha truly believed that and felt the same about a good book.
Throughout her career in real estate she gained the ability to see the black, the white and the grey. After many years, she found that reality is really not black or white, good or bad. It's shades of grey.

In Samantha's books you will find that the subject could be real as often the ideas are loosely based on true stories. The subjects that she writes about are varied, but the common thread is emotion. The circumstances must solicit an emotional response and holds the readers' attention long after the book is read. The books will bring out the best and worst in society, as she has witnessed over the years. Many times they will take the reader back to a time they can identify with situations of their own.

Samantha had formed an instant bond with a dog named Smiley W, who inspired her to write this story. This has taken her back to writing. She lives on a farm in western New York and enjoys the quiet life with her family. Some of her favorite times are curling up with a book and her loving dogs nestled by her side.

Her perfect world would be when every animal are cherished for what they are and have a loving home.
