Both think the others crazy. Still, its nice to have company. Two strangers on a bridge in the dead of night, a game of dominoes, and a value ready meal HighTide Escalator playwright Vinay Patels new play explores humanity, desperation and hope. Following on from the success of his debut play, True Brits, which premiered at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Free Fall was Vinay Patels first full-length play to be staged in London.
Patels play delicately unpicks the knotty issue of British identity as well as touching on issues of racism. Its funny and done with an elegantly light touch * The Stage (on True Brits) *
Patel is definitely an emerging talent, unafraid to tackle the biggest issues head-on * Daily Telegraph *
beautifully written . . . a graceful, satirical wit that strikes to the very heart of nationalism and identity * What's On Stage (on True Brits) *
A subtly compelling debut * Scotsman (on True Brits) *
