Valerie wants a job, Frank wants to run the marathon - Paul, Philip and Alan just want to hold on. This dramatic piece of reportage draws on interviews with murderers to create stark, uncompromising portraits of people rebuilding their lives. Life After Life was performed as part of the National Theatre's 'Transformations' season in 2002.
Paul Jepson is a director and writer. His first play, The Idiot, premiered at the West Yorkshire Playhouse and won the Wellcome Trust Science on Stage and Screen Award. Tony Parker pioneered the use of tape-recorded interviews to create social documentary. Author of numerous reportage books, he was described by TLS as having a 'genius in illuminating the human mind.'
