On Insomnia and Midnight is a tale to frighten chambermaids in the night. This play opened at the Royal Court Theatre in September 2006 as part of the International Playwrights series starring Vanessa Bauche (Amores Perros).
Edgar Chias is a playwright, actor, theatre critic and translator and was a member of the Royal court Writers Group in Mexico City. A reading of ON INSOMNIA AND MIDNIGHT took place as part of ARENA MEXICO in January 2006. David Johnston lives and works in Belfast. He has translated plays by Lorca, Buera Vallejo, Sastre, Lope de Vega, Calderon and Gil Vicente among others. He has written on various aspects of Spanish theatre as well as articles on Spanish politics and culture.
