Mo is 31. He works in an immigration removal centre. Hes a Detention Officer. He wears a shirt, a tie, and sometimes even trousers. Hes from Bishops Stortford.
Mos in trouble.
Mos in love.
Dangerous and unsettling, beautiful and hilarious, Removal Men is a play with live music and songs. It tells the story of a fragmented 21st century Britain, trying to be powerful, trying to love, trying to escape.
M.J. Harding is a writer and performer with formal musical training and a BA in anthropology. A graduate of the Royal Court Young Writers Programme, Michael has worked with collaborators including ArtsAdmin and Vladimir Shcherban of the Belarus Free Theatre. His radical practice focuses on the relationship between performance, pedagogy and violence.
