Description

A new version of Holland's most popular play, brilliantly adapted by Lee Hall

Displaying his characteristic disdain for bourgeois hypocrisy, in The Good Hope Heijermans takes up the cause of exploited fishermen. Set in Whitby, this fresh adaptation by Lee Hall breathes new life into a modern European classic.

This adaptation is published to tie in with the play's premiere at London's National Theatre in November 2001, to be followed by a nationwide tour.
