As the play unfolds we see the women, one by one, forced to confront awkward truths of their own.
JIMMY MURPHY is an Irish playwright who has written a number of stage plays including Brothers of the Brush which was awarded best new Irish play; A Picture of Paradise, The Muesli Belt, Aceldama The Kings of the Kilburn High Road and The Castlecomer Jukebox. He has also written plays for radio. His awards include The Stewart Parker Award in 1994, and a Bursary in Literature from The Arts Council of Ireland. His play The Kings of the Kilburn High Road was adapted by Tom Collins as the Irish language film Kings (film), and was selected as Irelands entry for best foreign language film for the Academy Awards by the Irish Film and Television Academy.
