After experiencing a mental breakdown in the late 1990's, the author wrote poetry expressing her attempts to deal with her condition. The moon Callisto captures her sense of being bombarded with feelings and memories. Fourteen poems were selected from the diary she wrote after being confined in a hospital.
Ann Hoang lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband of 28 years and two of their three children. Ann began writing prose and poetry in earnest in the late 1990's to help her cope with the onset of an acute psychotic episode. The intense feelings and memories were recorded in several journals she kept at the time. Today Ann is an avid quilter and gardener as well as a stay at home mom.
