Description

This book of poetry is based on the experiences of a southern, creative mind. Amy Garrison takes you through the deep south to the newer metropolitans. She communicates in words what many often feel but can't articulate. These poems derived from her experiences living and visiting various places throughout the east and west coast: AL, GA, FL, VA, D.C., MD, NY, NJ and now TX.Deep Thoughts, Deep Poetry, Deep South is a book of poetry that symbolizes the freedom to express one's self without any interruptions, limitations or mental chains. In this book, Amy demonstrates how, through poetry, she allowed herself to hear her own voice by capturing her thoughts on paper, and it just so happened that she experienced some of this freedom while growing up in one of the most southern parts of Alabama.

Author Bio

Amy Garrison is a poet, writer, graphic designer and inspirational speaker, who embraces life and enjoys inspiring and encouarging others. Currently, she resides in Dallas, Texas, which has become her new poetic soil. However, her poetic journey began in Alabama where she was born and raised, and it continued into D.C. and Maryland, where she lived for 10 years. Now as a resident of Texas, she embraces the opportunity to pour her gift once again into another state and allow God to do what only He can do through her. She has already began nurturing her second book of poetry so be on the look because it only gets deeper. Her desire is to leave this earth empty and like the bones of Elisha (2 Kings 13:21), even than, she would like for her gift to wake up the dead and heal the sick.
