Dwelling in Colors is a collection of poetry that deals with ideas of love, friendship, death, heartbreak, sadness, regret, inspiration, and self love through the eyes of a teenager. Carman divides each chapter into a different color, and associates each color with a different experience, showing that our experiences shape us into who we are.
Kennedy Carman was born on March 29, 2000 in Alma, Michigan. She grew up in Sumner, Michigan with her younger sister, Lottie. She began writing poetry at age six and she has written two poetry books: Placebo Paradox and Dwelling in Colors. When she is not writing, she is running, thrift shopping, being Editor-in-Chief of her school newspaper, taking pictures, and performing in school plays. She plans on continuing writing for the rest of her life, although her future plans are uncertain.
