"From the Beginning of Me" is a breathtaking collection of poetry about life, healing, courage, encouragement, overcoming, love, self-love, growth, and enlightenment.
We're all different, but we're all the same.
The poems in this collection offer an adventure into life's mysteries. Each poem is thought-provoking and meant to show that no matter where in the world we come from, we are connected; and sometimes when that connection is a little wavering, we must strive to reconnect and sometimes disconnect.
Marlene Sevacherian was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to parents who had just fled from Russia and Germany after WWII. The family immigrated to Los Angeles, California, in 1958, where their fellow Armenians had settled. Growing up in a tight knit community of Armenians, and a melting pot of sorts, certainly shaped her life and filled it with much color. When not writing, she can be found in her studio painting. Marlene considers her faith and family to be most important to her, and this comes across in her poetry and art. Although writing since she was a teenager, From the Beginning of Me is her first book.
