Author Bio

Deidra Oliver Franklin is the President, Cofounder, and Rhetoric Specialist at Good-Natured Life, a leading educational company established in 2015. Franklin is also a keynote speaker and leads the company's Iconic Woman Conference. Franklin refers to her job as "joyful" because she has the wonderful privilege of uplifting minds, educating people across the world, and collaborating with her son, Austin J. Franklin, who is the CEO and Cofounder. Her commitment to helping others excel, through professional and personal development, is her purpose and mission.

Franklin earned an Executive Leadership Certification in Persuasive Communication from the prestigious Cornell University and a Doctorate in Biblical Studies from Colorado Theological Seminary. She earned a Master of Science in Health (minor in hospital administration) and a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from University of North Florida. She also attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Franklin's professional affiliations include the National Communication Association (NCA), Nonfiction Authors Association (NFAA), The Author's Guild, Association of Writers & Writing Programs, Academy of American Poets, Poetry Society of America, and The Poetry Society (UK).

Franklin is an avid reader. She loves traveling, writing, beautifying neighborhoods, and building a legacy of love and grace.

She was happily married to the late Dr. Anthony J. Franklin, and they have one son, Austin J. Franklin.

Franklin currently resides in Florida. She is a member of Continental Societies, Inc. - Jacksonville Chapter where she has served as a past president. She is also a member of The Bethel Church in Jacksonville, Florida where she has served as a Sunday School Teacher and member of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry.
