Author Bio

Valerie Lorraine is an author of poetry work, her first book Falling was released in 2021. Writing from the heart with pure emotions of her experiences of love, loss, fears and joys. Her poems capture the reader, connecting them and leaving them to feel it's written directly to their experiences. Valerie believes that her poetry can open minds and hearts, healing places that are wounded.

Valerie lives in beautiful British Columbia with her family and her dog, a pocket bully King. She loves taking nature walks capturing the beauty in photography. She is a wonderful cook and artist as well.

Before publishing Falling and My Life... Untitled and accumulating her works her upcoming book, she worked in corporate as an Administrator and Sr. Trainer. Valerie raised her 3 boys, spent time travelling the world for their sports, and sometimes alone for the adventure and love. She adores the sun, the beach and water and incorporates those joyous moments into her works.

Valerie has worked in association with musicians to create lyrics, works on editing and coaching authors through their own writing process. She has a large following in Instagram and hosts popular poetry lives. She also can be found on YouTube on The Poetry Corner.
