Author Bio

My name is Austyn Shumard, and I grew up in Clinton County, Illinois. I started writing at an early age, usually writing short stories to post on my Instagram. Soon, I found a love for poetry that lasts until this day. As of right now, I am a college student pursuing a major in Psychology. One of the key parts of pursuing this field is to be able to release stress. Thankfully, I already found a powerful release in writing, and it has become second nature to me. I write a lot about love, as my deepest desire in life is to maintain passionate relationships, whether that be romantically or simple friendships. I am an idealist, constantly trying to see the world for what it could be. I believe that we should all feel loved by those we care about and that we should all try our best to make each other happy. I found a lot of inspiration from an older generation of authors from the 17th to the 20th century and am still very interested in modern realist authors.
