LINES OF LICORICE is an allsorts book of poems, many of which have been typed on my iPhone, or even scribbled on napkins and scraps of paper. I never intended to write poetry, but once I started to meditate these word arrangements just poured forth. Later, I learnt it's like a tap that I can turn on and off. However, sometimes the tap drips during the wee hours. And all hours. Poetry is a constant companion, a passion, a succour.
Charles Kaye has written several thousand poems over the last decade. This is his first published book. Originally from London, U.K., he was educated at Winchester College, and Trinity College, Cambridge. He now lives on the shores of Lake Ontario, in unspoiled Prince Edward County, Canada.
