The first selection of Sosnowski's poetry available in England, spanning his entire career. His approach to language, literature and the representation of experience is simultaneously resonant and strange, a cocktail party where lowlifes and sophisticates hobnob with French theorists and British glam rockers, unsettling the reader with the hard accuracy of their pronouncements.
"Sosnowski's range is striking. Perhaps due to the barreling nature of his lines, prose seems to accommodate him especially well. But at the same time, prose also tends to diffuse the heart of his project, his breathlessness and tumbling, in favor of a more contained and didactic feel."E.C. Belli, Words Without Borders "The poems exude an exuberant air of playful language"J. Kates, World Books Review "Reading Andrzej Sosnowski is basically a never-ending process: each act of reading calls for another."Grzegorz Jankowicz
