Parker's previous book with BOA, The Vandals, received excellent reviews. His talent has landed him in all the major younger poet anthologies. His poems have appeared in many magazines and journals, including The New Yorker, The New Republic, The Paris Review, American Poetry Review, and TriQuarterly. His awards include three fellowships in poetry from state arts councils and a Pushcart Prize. In 2000 his poems were included in all three major volumes of "younger American poets" (published by Carnegie Mellon University Press, the University of Southern Illinois Press, and the University of New England Press). Parker is a tireless promoter, and attends numerous conferences and workshops .
