Orange Blossoms is a book of poetry describing periods isolation, separation, and sadness. As well as the joy, happiness, and bliss that comes from the completion of a journey through a personal darkness to spiritual wholeness. The poems describe the writer's experiences seeing through the illusions of everyday life to finding a personal spiritual truth. The writer provides an insight into his personal and emotional needs and desires of that the reader can relate. The poems express the hope and faith that result in finding love within and without.
Joseph Wroten was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta. After attending public schools he later attended Millsaps College earning a B.A. degree in History and later earning a MA degree from the University of Mississippi. After a career in education and law he developed an interest in writing. This is his first book of poetry and is presently writing an autobiography based upon his experiences growing up in a time of transition in the Deep South and his later personal and spiritual transformation.
