Pieces of Princess is a book of poetry. Through poetry, I hope to educate and inspire. I hope that while reading my poetry, you find, comfort, knowledge and a new, positive outlook on life.

Author Bio

My name is Princess Danielle Cody, also known as Poetic Princess LLC. Although I've been writing for almost three decades now, Poetic Princess LLC wasn't established until October of 2010. I began writing personalized poetry for people and organizations, as well as making invitations, obituaries, programs, flyers etc. My slogan is, "You Name it! I Write it!" I began to express myself through poetry in the early 90's. I'm an 80's baby, born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. However, I spent many summers on the back roads of Louisa, Kentucky, where my maternal side of the family's lineage runs deep. This small country town right outside of Ashland, Kentucky, gave me an outlet and a different view of the world. Without the hustle and bustle of the city, all my neighborhood friends knocking at the door and no cable tv, my imagination began to explore, and my words began to flow. Poetry provided me an opportunity to unlock my inhibitions and insecurities... on paper of course, because it took me years to actually "use" my voice. In the meantime, although it took years for my thoughts to reach my lips, it only took moments for my words to reach my paper. I believe in standing up for yourself and for what is right. I love to offer my point of view and always up for debate. I love learning and educating through poetry, rather it be life lessons, economy, statistics etc. I love learning, I love teaching and I love poetry, so I find immense pleasure in bringing the three together. When writing about a new topic that has piqued my interest, I instantly begin researching and learning all I can to properly convey, with poetry of course, my newfound knowledge.
