Dinapiera Di Donato is an award-winning poet and fiction writer, born in Venezuela. This selection of her award-winning poems was written during a time that she spent clearing river debris while living along the Hudson River in Manhattan. Di Donato's poems speak of her wanderings in an imaginary landscape, and also of a nomadic subject who erases and rewrites. The Paz Prize for Poetry is presented by the National Poetry Series and The Center at Miami Dade College in Florida. This annual award is named in the spirit of the late Nobel Prize-winning poet, Octavio Paz.
