With wry metaphor and precise imagery, poet and actress Amber Tamblyn offers poetic insights into what it's like to be an actress in the public eye since the age of 11. Whether she's describing real life info-gathering for a primetime TV drama (Role Research'), addressing the crossroads of public perception and private life ('Fell Off'), reflecting on love ('Hate, A Love Poem'), or having fun with poetic form ('Trust Haiku'), Amber Tamblyn offers readers an unusual perspective into her life.'
Amber Tamblyn is a Venice, California native. She has been a writer and actress since the age of 9. She has been nominated for Emmy, Golden Globe, and Independent Spirit Awards for her work in television and film. She co-founded the nonprofit, Write Now Poetry Society, has been a Harriet blogger for the Poetry Foundation's website, and has a poetry review column in Bust magazine. She lives in Brooklyn.
