Sue Fitchett lives in covenanted bush on Waiheke Island. Retired as a clinical psychologist, she is an avid conservationist, particularly with birds, and is also a volunteer firefighter. Sue's poetry has appeared in various New Zealand and Australian journals and she has published or edited four books, including a previous sole collection (Palaver Lava Queen, Auckland University Press, 2004).
