Chryss Yost is an award-winning poet, writer and web designer. With Dana Gioia and Jack Hicks, she coedited California Poetry: From the Gold Rush to the Present. She works at the University of California and is an editor of Solo: A Journal of Poetry.

Rita Dove is a former U.S. Poet Laureate and a Pulitzer Prizewinning poet.

Dana Gioia is a poet, critic and the author of Can Poetry Matter In January 2003, he was appointed Chairman of the National Endowment of the Arts.
