What the critics have said about Michael Richards' poems: I've known Michael's poems from when we were both young men. Over the years, I, among others, have pushed him to collect the poems together. It's been a long wait for that to happen. But it has. Well worth the wait I know. - Sam Hunt Richards thinks his way into and through moments in the human condition, pausing to be surprised, to tease out a realisation, to share a half-shrugging joke or a laconic, lyrical epiphany. - David Hill While rooted deeply in New Zealand soil there's always a sense of the universal as Mike Richards eloquently shines a light on the age-old mysteries of death, loss, joy and the fragility of the moment. Having been a fan of Mike's work over the past 40 years I'm delighted to see a selection of his poems showcased in this publication. - Helen Martin
Michael Richards lives in Takapuna with his partner, Sue, and has two children. This is his first poetry collection.
