Author Bio
Omar Khayym (1048-1131) was a Persian astronomer, mathematician and poet who helped to develop modern theories of algebra and is best known in the Western world for the work known as the Rubiyt. Edward FitzGerald (1809-83) was an English poet fascinated by Eastern cultures who forged his reputation with his translation of Omar Khayym's work.
