There is the experience of being a child and teen coming from a home with abuse. Will the life that grows from such dark nightmarish ghoul find some light again You see a bud that blossoms after a wretched winter's frost, but what comes next
Like the growth of fire from spark to ashes and back into fertile fuel for the next becoming this poetry book opens up and takes you through the journey of a young girl compulsively looking for love and attention in some misguided places and back home to herself.
Jessa Leigh talks about abuse. fear. shame. depression. first loves. miscarriages. dreams of love, friendship and comfort. the everlasting journey of finding a relationship with one's true self.
Jessa Leigh grew up in Florida where she spent most of her time writing poetry and dancing at music festivals. She has been writing poetry since she was in middle school, and it has always been her dream to publish a poetry book. When Jessa Leigh isn't writing she is spending time with her dog and snake, or out with friends sharing some of the joy's life can offer. Jessa Leigh now lives in North Carolina and has worked as a bartender, server, and in various professions with animals. Some of her biggest inspirations for poetry are e. e. cummings, and Rupi Kaur. Jessa Leigh's poetry is about connectivity, love, loss, and growth that comes after some of the most painful and traumatic experiences life unfortunately can bring.
